Kids Triathlon Series - 10th Annual in 2010
Do it for the kids – the athletes and the program families!
The Kid’s Triathlons are Pittsburgh Habitat’s largest fundraising events each year. The triathlons give children in our community a chance to compete in an exciting event, and give us the opportunity to raise funds for families in our local communities.
NEW IN 2010: This year we are planning fun activities for kids to help them understand who we are at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh and what we do! Look for us while we tabulate the results of the race!
Click here for more information on the race.
These events are only as successful as the volunteers who so generously give of their time and energy on the day of the event. We are looking for people like YOU to help out with the swim, bike, run, transition, and finish line aspects of the race. The volunteer set-up will begin at 6am, athletes should arrive by 7am, and the race starts at 8am. Please consider helping to make this event the best triathlon yet! Volunteer here!

Habitat's program families and volunteers have been busy since the last youth triathlete ran across the finish line last summer. Two rehabs were completed in Wilkinsburg and Forest Hills and another Chessland Street home was completed. We're working on a minimum of six homes this year, continuing to build throughout Allegheny County.
Raising Awareness
Another major aspect
of the race is that it
raises awareness of
poverty housing to
young children and
the role of Habitat for
Humanity. It also
exposes kids to the
importance of
community service.
Habitat believes that
these kids will one
day come to the
construction site and
swing a hammer.
